Abstract

|
A study was carried out to investigate the change types of disease of in-patients before introduction of the whole national medical insurance and after introduction of two succeeding years were compared.
Through the analysis, of total 1882 cases in one general hospital in Pusan of which 953 cases before introduction and 929 cases after introduction.
The results were as follows;
1. The age of in-patients before and after introduction of national medical insurance was the most frequent in 17.8%, from 20 to 29 years old.
2. Among in-patients before introduction 77.5% received medical care by medical insurance and its rate was changed to 87.8% after introduction.
3. The mean lengh of stay before introduction were 13.1 and after introduction its length of stay was increased 16.0
4. By 17 international classification of disease of in-patients before introduction respiratory :system, digestive system and congenital anomalies were decreased after introduction. But disease of skin and subcutaneous tissue, injury and poisoning and endocrine and metabolic disease, immunity disorders were increased after introduction.
